Respite care at home
What is respite care at home?
Are you caring for someone on a full-time basis? Have you ever thought about taking a break but you are afraid to leave your loved one on their own? It is where respite care at home may be helpful to you. Respite care at home is for anyone who needs a break whether it is for holiday, business trip or other.
Respite care at home is suitable for people who suffer from a short-term or long-term illness, have Alzheimer’s or dementia, struggle with learning disability and more. All our live in carers have substantial experience in care. They all have a caring attitude and a passion for helping others.
Why do you need a break?
It is natural to fear worried about someone that we love. We sometimes feel guilty that we want to leave someone that we care for to take a break. The truth is, however, that we need to be both mentally and physically healthy to be able to offer help and support. If we are exhausted, we are prone to making more mistakes. We then start having regrets. The best thing that every carer can do for themselves is taking a good care of their health and a holiday from time to time to load up the energy levels.
Respite carer duties
Our carers make sure that the client’s daily routine is maintained and that they are able to lead an independent lifestyle. Our respite care package includes personal care (bathing, dressing, washing, combing hair), light housekeeping (cleaning, dusting, sweeping, washing), fresh meal preparation, companion, assisting with medicines, accompanying during important meetings and social gatherings and other.
